Why Choose a Fragrance-Free, Silicone-Free Makeup Primer
When it comes to makeup primers, many people are unaware of the potential irritating ingredients in most products. Other makeup primers can contain pore clogging ingredients such as silicone or fragrances, which can cause irritation. This is why our we choose to make a fragrance-free and silicone-free makeup primer for our Pregame Primer.
One of the biggest concerns with fragrances in cosmetics is that they are not required to be disclosed by the FDA. This means that companies can use any type of fragrance in their products without having to disclose exactly what is in them. This can be a problem for individuals with sensitive skin or fragrance allergies, as they may not be aware of the potential irritants in the products they are using.
Additionally, many natural fragrances can also irritate the skin. For example, essential oils such as peppermint and lemon can be irritating for some people, even though they are derived from natural sources.
Our Pregame Primer is a silicone-free makeup primer is specially formulated to provide a smooth base for makeup and enhance its longevity without causing irritation. One of the key ingredients in our primer is Skin Save, a patented ingredient known for its soothing and anti-inflammatory properties. It has the ability to calm redness and irritation, making it the perfect makeup primer for reducing redness.
Because Pregame Primer has no added fragrance, is that it allows the natural scent of the herbal ingredients to shine through. Unlike other cosmetics with synthetic fragrances, Youthforia Pregame Primer is a natural makeup primer has a natural and subtle scent that comes from the herbs and botanicals used in the formula.
When I developed Pregame Primer, it was important to think of something that would work for reactive skin and people whose skin is sensitive to fragrances or silicones (like myself).
The patented ingredients in Pregame Primer help calm irritated skin - as someone who's incredibly sensitive to ingredients in a lot of makeup - I like to think of Pregame Primer as insurance for my skin, every time I'm trying on new makeup.
Because it has an ingredient that calms redness, it works great as a skin tint replacement or an easy way to color correct. Other color corrects use green to coverup redness - but our Pregame Primer reduces redness, at the neurosensory level. It's a great makeup primer for evening out skin tone.
This is me, on the left, with redness and hives. About twenty minutes later, using only Youthforia Pregame Primer, a lot of my redness has gone down. As you can see in the far right, it makes for the perfect base underneath foundation.
